Forget-Me-Not Sampler

Photobucket

I just loved the colours on this one, so I used the stated DMC colours, this one again I think will be destined for my bedroom.

Its called Forget-Me-Not sampler and is a really old one (1988) by Sheepish Designs.
I've stitched it on 32ct cream linen 2/2.

I can hardly believe its the 1st of August, where has this year gone to?? I have been very slow in answering emails I am sorry about it, but please I hope that you will understand, I still don't really feel like talking much, and you are all very much in my thoughts and I do appreciate the emails very much they brighten up my day along with the wonderful comments that you all have been leaving me.

Be Unto You

I did so enjoy stitching this pretty little sampler by Sheepish Designs (its fifteenth exemplary is the chart Number for any who go looking for it - I don't know where you would get it now as Sheepish Designs are all now OOP, but I am sure there must be somewhere where it can be found. I'm afraid my chart is promised to another), it really is a lovely one to do.

I used 32ct cream linen and the recommended DMC threads and its stitched 1 over 2. I have modified the inside of the design and added the year and my name at the bottom and I also added the extra flower and leaves to the left of the year date.

This was part of my rotation stitching, but I just wanted to get it finished as I was enjoying it so much, so I think the rotation has gone out of the window LOL! But at least I tried.

I hope everyone is having the lovely sunshine that we are here, its a really beautiful Easter Sunday and I wish you all a happy time.

Scary Wabbit

Patti emailed me today to say that she received the SBEBB Halloween exchange that I had sent her, I do worry when I send them, in case they don't get there, or the person doesn't like what I've done, but I'm glad to say even though Patti has been lumbered with my stiching twice she loved what I had sent her.

I really love these Wabbits and have stitched a few, as yet I have never been able to keep one to myself LOL!

This one I sitched on Silkweaver 32ct fabric called Midnight(which was a one off), I'm afraid I had resort to the magnifier to see what I was doing but it stitched up well, I changed the threads of course apart from the large pumpkin. The edge of the small pillow I blended DMC Glo-in-the-dark thread with WDW and it really does Glow.

I added a small black button for the spider and stitched him on with Glow thread as well as his legs. The web I used some silver thread I had in my stash. The back fabric is the fabric you can see it lying on and the trim is voile ribbon in black and turquoise, and the hanger for the wee pillow is black voile ribbon too..

From this to This..........

As you all know I took some stitching with me to Durham at the weekend -quick reminder of what it was well now its Finished and sewn up.

My finished Wabbit
is going over to Durham to my SIL Dawn, when we were there she expressed a real liking for it, and as she passed her fitness instructor training exam on Saturday - WEY HEY WAY TO GO DAWN!!!!!
I think she deserves it as she has worked so hard for this, even though she wouldn't let me do the class on Saturday, but I understand her reasons 100% due to the fact it was her exam and me collapsing in the middle of the class would have done no good for anyone - not that I intended to do that, but Dawn wanted to be safe and careful and if I'd done the class I wouldn't have been able to have the lovely afternoon I had with my sister Helen.

So I still haven't managed to do a Wabbbit for myself, now a few of you have asked how I put the ribbon on like I have on the Wabbits, if you can bear with me til the weekend I will do a photo shoot (sounds very high brow LOL!!) and do a step by step, its really really easy honestly, you just need soft ribbon to do it.
