A small progress

Here is my SAL part 4 for Sail Away by Shepherds Bush, I've been so busy I fell behind with it slightly, if you look carefully you can see where I started on the little house last night, which is Part 5 and part 6, I am just going to stitch it now until its finished I think as most of the opthers are almost finished that are doing this.

Also here is my progress with AMAP Quaker Cherub, I seem to have more done than I thought when I compare it to my last progress update, I am almost 1/2 way through this and its such an enjoyable stitch. The lovely fob you can see was a gift from my friend Barb (no blog) and the scissors were frrom Carol.

What fun the Blackbird Designs competition was and wasn't there some amazing finishes and stitching. My mums is up on the BBD blog now along with Carols, it was lovely to see them there and I look forward to next month when they will be posting the entries. Congratulations to Brenda the winner of the draw and to the runners up.

Saturday is another Fobbles stitching day and I am off there again probably taking my Sail Away with me, I am taking an elderly lady who lives around the corner with me this time, she has never been and loves to cross stitch and is keen to go, so Saturday is the perfect day for her and she can meet other like minded stitchers when she's there. She had a fire in her home about 6 months ago, I found out and she lost a lot of her stitching supplies, so wants to stock up and she will have fun there I think.

Su, what lovely progresses you have shared. Just gorgeous, both of them.

I too enjoyed seeing so many entries for the BBD contest, that was so swell of them to do. Looking forward to seeing all of them when they are posted. I am glad that they did a drawing, I think it would have been way too hard to just the 'best' so to speak.

How sweet of you to take friend with you to your stitching gathering. Know she will be blessed by the experience.

Both of your pieces look lovely. I'm a huge fan of Shepherd Bush designs and have done Sail Away myself. Can't wait to see your finish on both these beautiful designs.

Su.
You've made such amazing progress with your beautiful cherub piece. I love that pink, it's so restful.
Sail Away is looking wonderful. I'm sure you'll catch up in no time.

It was amazing seeing your mum's stitching on BBD's blog and reading why she stitched this pretty piece. Everyone's was lovely and each had a personal reason for stitching :>)

Enjoy your day on Saturday at Fobbles. Your neighbour will, I'm sure.

What beautiful samplers Su! Sail Away looks wonderful, and Quaker Cherub is so, so pretty! I love the soft color.

Enjoy your Fobbles day on Saturday. Off to the Blackbird Designs blog to view your mother's stitching. Wasn't that such a fun competition?

Sail Away looks lovely but Quaker Cherub is absolutely stunning Su - such a pretty shade of pink!

I had to laugh that Helen says "mum has grown about 6" since she became famous" as I went to the doctors for a blood pressure check and she weighed me and measured my height and told me I was 5' 2". Now I have always been 5' 1" so either she measured wrongly this time, or all the other times were wrong or... I have grown 1" - maybe it's fame??

Have a great holiday weekend

I love your progress pictures. Both WIPs are gorgeous. You always have an admirable sense of colour. I think I'd never have stitched the Quaker Cherub sampler with such a light pink colour (although I like pink) - but it looks terrific.

Beautiful work. Pardon my ignorance, but what is the actual name of the Cherub Quaker and what does AMAP stand for?
