Petite Exemplaire No 2

Photobucket

As I am feeling distinctly springlike I made myself a little stitch and finish. Its 'Petite Exemplaire No2' by one of my very very favourite designers Ewe & Eye & Friends (EEF). I've stitched it on 40ct linen and made it into a wee thread palette using some Moda fabric that I had, the zingy green fabric was perfect for this wee design and I have trimmed it with some lace I bought when I was up in Scotland last November.

Hope everyone is having a good week so far and that your weather has made a turn for the better, today apart from a shower this morning its been blue skies and sunshine, though a very cold wind, not that I have seen much of it tucked away in my office, but it was nice standing in the sunshine waiting for Mark to pick me up at hometime.

Just beautiful! The backing fabric is perfect and the lace finishes it off so well. You always manage to find such lovely trims and ribbons on your travels.

Well, Su, if this dainty little thread holder doesn't bring a Spring like smile to our faces nothing will :>) It's so pretty and the Moda fabric is just perfect. I love these EEF designs. They are small even before you stitch on 40 count...haha!
I'm off to Scotland on Thursday, I wonder if I'll find some pretty lace :>)
Lots of good wishes

Su that is gorgeous. I have stitched this one once already and given it to my darling daughter-in-law's parents as a moving in present but I love those little Ewe & I & Friends little designs. I bought all four of them I think. Anyway your finish is, as per usual, absolutely gorgeous. Lots of Love Patti xxx

Very gorgeous and so springlike!

Our weather has been wonderful. Every day the windows have been open - birds chirping and warm sunshine. I think it's supposed to get colder for a little while though. Oh well!
