A Missing PIF

Photobucket

This is the oher PIF that I sent at the same time as Laura's, which is about 3 weeks ago nearly I still don't know whether its arrived for Cathy or not, I hope that it hasn't got lost!!

Again its Mes petits coeurs I by Au Fil des Reves but this time I made different modifications and of course I've used Antique red hand dyed thread. Its stitched on 32ct white linen and the top is a red satin ribbon bow and the button is a little chequered one I had in my stash, the backing fabric is a small red and white gingham check that matched the thread perfectly......

Hope that you are all having a good weekend, My SIL Dawn and I have just had a wee trip to Fobbles this morning and got Dawn stocked up with a few things we are now going to do a SAL together in the near future of Shepherds Bush 'Family Sampler' as Dawn bought it this morning and I have been wanting to start mine for ages. I bought myself a headband magnifier today its really cool and I can see 1/1 on 40ct really easily instead of straining my eyes. I look a bit of a noggin with this green band stuck on my head but hey! does it matter, it just might start in a new fashion trend LOL!! I also treated myself to some lovely shot silk fabric.

Lovely stitching as always Su. Maybe you could decorate your magnifier with beads and little stitched hangings ;D

What a shame if this beautifully stitched heart is lost. The red satin bow and gingham button are just the right touches.

Glad you had a fun morning, and oh silk, such a luxurious fabric.

What a beautiful piece you've stitched. I really hope it arrives safely soon!

Sound like you had a fun shopping trip! Have fun with Family Sampler. I am trying to finish mine off very soon. There are a few mistakes in the chart so check Nicole's blog as she has pointed them out, just last week I think.

I love the mental picture of you with your headband magnifier! Whatever works, right?

Such a nice little heart, and so beautifully finished. It would be a shame if it didn't arrive.

Your shopping spree at Fobbles must have been a real treat. I've already visited their website and what I see there is just to my liking. I think I would leave a lot of money there if I lived in the region, lol.

It's lovely Su. Beautifully stitched and finished as always. I do hope it reaches its destination. Two beautiful things sent to me never arrived and it's very sad for both the giver and the received :>)

It is really lovely Su and as usual you have stitched and finished it beautifully. It is really sad if she hasn't received it and it's also sad that the girl who owned Au Fil des Reves doesn't design anymore because her designs were always great and I always really loved them but didn't buy them all.

Hope your heart reaches its intended address soon. I have a pair of those gorgeous green magnifiying glasses - they may make you look like Hannibal Lecter - but they work brilliantly!!! When I am in the Lakes this summer, I must find Fobbles.

Love the red heart Su - hope the one I have stitched turns out as good! Where did you get that gorgeous gingham button - just what I need for mine.

Hi Su, not to worry this gorgeous PIF has arrived and I absolutely LOVE it! Your stitching is absolutely superb! I wish I could stitch so beautifully. I think it may have taken the slow boat--our mail over here has a mind of it's own sometimes. Thank you soooo much! I just sent you an email too. This has been so fun!

Cathy :)

Is there any way you could put up a tutorial/instructions for making this lovely heart? I know the recipient blogged about how much she loved it, and it is just adorable.
