This is a little about me and my hobby which I am so passionate about at times, well all the time really.
A flower
has opened on the clematis Wee Willy Winkie thats at the bottom of the back garden fence, in fact there are a few have opened up today on this clematis in the warm spring sun, just thought I would share as I was delighted with it this morning. Link

No such luck with our clematis. The leaves are bearly unfolding. Ours is a very old plant. It was in the garden when we bought the house in the fall of '71. Each year it has the most gorgeous purple blooms with either 4 or 5 or 6 petals. Sun shining brightly right now 8:45 a.m. but quite chilly. brrrrrrrrrr even Pretti came in quickly from the balcony.
Mine's just come out of hibernation. It has a sort of wilt disease. Every year I think of burying it, but then when it gets a bit warmer, it gets all green again. No flowers to be seen yet, though! How's your Mum, Su?
This is a fabulous clematis flower. Mine are all single row petals like the Nelly Moser variety. I am going to be keeping an eye out for one of these :)

Our clematis is usually in full bloom now, but it's been so cold that it hasn't even leafed out all the way, let alone bloomed. BRR! Yours is lovely!
Oh so pretty! I can totally relate to you! I get very excited too when my flowers bloom! I won't see my variety for clematis bloom yet until June :-)
