The Good and the Bad

I received the most wonderful bouquet of flowers today from my team at work as a leaving present and a gift voucher too, it was so totally unexpected, I was so touched by it, and I know I'm going to miss them all when I leave tomorrow. - I start my new job on the 7th January.

Its not usual for me to post bad news, but as I have said in previous posts that things aren't going well for us at the moment, without too much detail, Marks grandmother - Nana Hannah passed away last night its such a sad time for us at the moment.

Good news Annemarie received her ornie safe and sound. I sent An the wee EEF reindeer that you can see in an earlier post.

Also I recieved a wonderful, wonderful parcel today from Yuko, its full of stunningly lovely things. I haven't taken any pictures yet, but I hope too in the next couple of days and will show all. It was a real delight to open and was another thing that cheered my day.

Hope everyone isn't getting to stressed for Christmas and have finished all their shopping and wrapping.

First, my thoughts are with you and Mark with the loss of his grandmother. No time is good for things like that to happen, but Christmas is especially hard. I hope you all will still have a wonderful holiday. The flowers are beautiful and I'm sure they will miss you as well. Enjoy your time between jobs. Hopefully you'll get to do some stitching.

Dear Su,
My condolences to you and Mark on the passing of his grandmother. The loss of a loved one is always very difficult and especially so at this time of year.

It has been a while since I visited and I am simply amazed by all the lovely stitching. Your home looks all warm and cozy for Christmas - love it. I just may have to drop by and snitch your nutcrackers to add to DH's collection.

Wishing you and all your loved ones a blessed Christmas and much happiness in 2008.

My sympathies on the passing of Mark's grandmother. It is never a good time to lose someone you love but it seems even sadder at this time of year.

You are certainly blessed by the people you were working with. Unexpected generosity is the best kind.

A very beautiful bouquet of flowers, and isn't it nice to be treated special by friends both at work and online such as Yuko. I wish you the best of luck with your new job.

I am so sorry to hear of Mark's grandmother. Something like this is hard, but at this time of year it is even more difficult. I hope that one day soon your happy memories will chase away the sadness.

Take care!

I lost a grandmother on Christmas Eve many years ago, so I know how difficult it can be at this time of the year. May God give you peace.

Sorry to hear about the loss in your family.=(

Funny, I've just left my job too - finished my last class on 4th Dec, I hated teaching, it was making me literally ill. Nothing new to go to, but then Sir earns enough to keep us, so I can devote myself more fully to the nice things in life!!

Take care!
